Gethsemane, A Roaring, and A Question

Gethsemane, A Roaring, and A Question

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” Psalm 22:1

“For Plaintive expressions uprising from unutterable depths of woe we may say of this Psalm, “there is none like it.” It is the photograph of our Lord’s saddest hours, the record of His dying words…” Spurgeon on Psalm 22

Alas, it has been some time since I have sat fingers to the keyboard. Not because the Lord hasn’t been speaking to my heart, but honestly, every time I sit to express my feeling, I am at a loss. Believe it or not, many times I find it difficult to wrap words around these feelings. Those of you who know me personally will find the humor in that.

I am now sitting in a restaurant in Paragominas, Brazil, people all around me eating their breakfast, going about their day, and yet in my spirit, I am in Gethsemane, the “Olive Press”. My heart hasn’t left this place of the “Olive Press” for some time now. I constantly find my heart slipping into that place, the most vulnerable state we ever find Jesus, where He Himself states, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” Matt 26:36

Gethsemane is truly a photograph of our suffering Savior. Luke tells us that He prayed, “Father, if You are willing, take this cup from me, yet not My will, but Yours be done.”  As Jesus prayed, it was so intense, His sweat was like drops of blood to the ground!

What was this cup? Was it the nails He would soon feel in His wrist? Was it the crown of thorns they would force on His brow? Was it the words that would be vomited at Him? As excruciatingly painful as that had to be, as we have only seen in part displayed in many movies and church productions, I don’t believe that is what Jesus was agonizing over in Gethsemane, the place of pressing, the place of crushing!

All of those things would be mere drops in the bucket compared to the cup that Jesus would drink, the cup of death, the cup of separation, mere moments away.  The price He would pay in place of fallen man. The moment when God, the Father of Eternity, would turn His Face from His Son, and His Son would roar in anguish!  “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?”

In this, Psalm 22, David was allowed to peer through a prophetic window and experience with Jesus, the pangs of death. Every time I read these words, my heart groans within me. Does one even venture into the truth of this “sound,” this “roar of anguish” from the Darling of Heaven? You see, every other time Jesus refers to God, He refers to Him as Father, but at this very moment, the moment Jesus becomes sin, the moment He’s separated from His Father, He refers to Him as God.

To a Son He is Father…to a sinner He is a God.

The Triune being never knew separation; they have always been one. Jesus never tasted sin, nor did Jesus ever know a fallen state. Man, however, found himself bankrupt and in a state of death, therefore, Jesus said He would pay the price before the foundation of the world! (Rev 13:8) He would die a sinner’s death, and for the first time in Eternity, the Son would be separated from His Father!

Jesus prayed in John 17 that we would know that type of love. That the Love that is in God would be in us, and we would know no separation! This is an astonishing truth! This desire drove Jesus to leave the corridors of Heaven and put on flesh to die in our place. Jesus was born to die!

Part of me believes, as Jesus was in that garden, not only was He looking toward the cross, but also His thoughts had to return to the first Garden, the Garden of Eden. Our story begins and ends with a Garden…first, in a place of paradise, a place of communion, the very place where Divinity and Humanity share sweet intimacy…and finally, where Jesus would bend His will to the will of the Father and die on a cross.

Jesus, being God in the flesh, had to have remembered in that instant, the very moment He entered the garden to have communion with His first son, Adam, only to find him in hiding. What a horrible day that had to be when the Creator came to meet with His creation, to find them hiding in their shame and sin!

“Where are you?” echoed throughout eternity as God’s voice ached for His beloved creation. God, being Omniscient, had to know where they were; I believe He wanted them to know where they were, as well. They were lost. They were empty. They were naked and hiding! And this is the very reason why Jesus came, to be a breach between the Father and His creation! Jesus paid a very high price to reunite Humanity and Divinity.

From this very place, I encourage you all to read Psalm 22. Dare to peer through the looking glass of prophetic history and see Jesus, hear the Pain of His Roaring! This is the “sound of separation.” Jesus, being our example and perfect theology, should make us long in desperation to have no place of separation in our lives.

I pray that we would all long and groan for His presence! We were made for this, to know the Love of God and be united in His Presence. Just as Jesus roared and cried out for God when He experienced death, we, too, should be miserable without Him! I pray as you read this now, hear the words of our Father God crying, “Where are you?” And instead of running and hiding, walk through Jesus and run to Him!

In His Fire,

The Circuit Rider, A Steel Horse, and The Cross

The Circuit Rider, Steel Horse, and The Cross

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matt 16:24 KJV

On October 14, 1735, John Wesley set sail on a four-month journey for the new colony of Savannah, Georgia. He began this long journey via invitation from George Whitfield, a minister responsible for spreading the Great Awakening in Britain and British North American Colonies.

On February 8, 1736, Wesley began his ministry to Savannah. He left quite a legacy, which reaches worldwide to this day. He is said to have traveled more than 250,000 miles; preached over 40,000 times; and written, edited, & translated over 200 sermons, commentaries, dictionaries, and hymns!

I bring up John Wesley to particularly mention that he sent Francis Asbury to perform the Methodist liturgy throughout America.  This mission was the beginning of the Circuit Rider Preacher! The mission of the Circuit Rider Preacher was to preach the Gospel to whoever would listen. Riding horseback from Georgia to Maine, leaving any creature comforts behind, these men would ride day in and day out with one purpose…to spread the Gospel!

This is of utmost importance to me, as in these last few weeks, this ‘Savannah, Georgia boy’ has traveled 3,850 miles up the East Coast, to Maine, and back, with a band of circuit riders, spreading the Sound of Awakening! I guess you can say we are carrying a mantle of those Circuit Riders who have gone before us.

Almost fifteen years ago I received a powerful word from Bishop Godwin Ekejieuba from Nigeria. His word for me was that I would be a horse rider and would never quit riding my horse! Little did I know my horse would be one made of steel. Those of my generation all may chuckle as I say this, hearing Bon Jovi’s famous song, “I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride!” However, in many ways, this has become a theme for my life. Whether in a car, van, or jet plane, I am seeing the beginnings of this word that took root many years ago, bear fruit in my life and ministry.

In 2010, I had the privilege of traveling to the UK, South Africa, twice to Brazil, many times up and down the East Coast, and over to the West Coast. This year, 2011, looks to be no different! We are embracing His move with a heart of gladness and have entered into this New Year with eyes wide open and ears inclined to hear the voice of our beloved. Our hearts and minds are to go wherever the Father leads.

Even as I write these words, I continue to hear the voice of one of my spiritual fathers, Dan Duke, saying, “The greater the sacrifice, the greater the Fire!” You see, on January 10, 2011, our team and I left our homes and families, to set off on what would be a powerful, yet dangerous, tour. With those very words shouting loudly, we chose, in-spite of reports of snow, ice, and rain, to venture on and release a Sound of Awakening!

There is so much that happened on this journey, from hitting a patch of ice and being thrown into a guard rail on a bridge, to replacing the brakes, alternator, a tire, and a rim. But I have to say, there is no price too great, no distance too far, that one must pay when you consider the Cross! This is not a convenient life. We weren’t called to live a life of convenience; we were called to live a life of sacrifice!

Many have seen our journey and ask why we do what we do. I would like to join the heart of the Moravians and I quote, “May the Lamb, who was slain, receive the reward of His suffering!” Knowing this gives us faith that God will come with His Fire on every place we plant our feet and WHOA did He!

From our stop in DC, to New Hampshire, to Maine, to Boston, to Virginia, every gathering different, but each one filled with the release of the Kingdom of Heaven. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing God releasing identity and that identity unlocking the key of destiny!

We continue to hear testimonies of those whose hearts had grown cold, and in just moments, in His Presence, the Fire of His Love melted the ice. Testimonies of physical healings, marriages healed, ministers rejuvenated, musicians and singers finding their voices, songwriters and poets releasing new sounds!!!! I could go on and on and on!!! The amazing thing with God is, as we follow Him He backs us up!

In His Fire,

The Table, The Lion, and the Sons

The LORD said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here…”Ex 24:12

“As a lion roars, a great lion over his prey–and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against him, he is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor-so the LORD Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights. 5 Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it.” Isa 31:4-5

Whoa!!!! We have just finished thirteen meetings in seven days here in South Africa! I joined with Sean Feucht and Burn 24-7 and we have been traveling to city after city and releasing our voice night after night calling forth the sound of South Africa! The hunger we have experienced here has been inspiring and brought so much expectancy to every meeting. The South African people have welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to join with them and go up and through the Open Door (Rev 5). The meetings have been filled with sound, fire, hunger, healing, dreams and visions, angelic visitations, fire tunnels, glory tunnels, people roaring like lions, and literally people lingering in the presence. They did not want to leave while God was awakening love and releasing encounter. At one moment I looked up and this older man stood with his hands stretched out toward the young people that were leading the fire tunnel. He stood with tears streaming down his face! My heart was overwhelmed. As I am writing this I am in Johannesburg sitting on the back porch of a log cabin still trying to take it all in. I need to pinch myself as I am in the middle of the bush listening to the sound of Lions off in the distance! WHOA!!!! Those who know me and have been in any of my meetings know that this is a dream come true.

Last year Capetown was voted the most beautiful city in the world. With mountainous surrounding, beautiful beaches, and plentiful vineyards I can see why. It is the Legislative Capitol of South Africa. Towering over Capetown is a series of massive mountains! To say it’s breathtaking would truly be an understatement. There are many mountains here but two in particular really spoke to me about South Africa and I believe even as Capetown legislates in the natural that it also is to be Sign and a Wonder to all of South Africa for God’s move.

Table Mountain
One mountain standing guard over the city is Table Mountain. It is said to be responsible for it’s birth, growth, and climate. It is visible for over 200 kilometers (124 miles) away and I believe it is a prophetic Sign and Wonder for all of South Africa! One of the reoccurring themes in every meeting here in South Africa has been intimacy and hosting His Presence. The heart of Burn 24-7 and our heart with Richest of Fare Ministries is “all who are thirsty come to the waters” (Is 55) “Where will my resting place be” (Is 66) The Presence of of God is enough! We have to make a place for His Presence. I truly believe this massive Sign and Wonder points us to the revelation that God is inviting us all to the mountain of His Presence just as He did Israel. To the Table that He Himself has prepared for us! A table is a place of intimacy (Song of Solomon 1:12), the mountain is the the Place of Revelation (Ex 24:12), it is the place of Transfiguration (Matt 17:2), it is the place where God rules His Kingdom (Psalms 2:1), and He is inviting us to His… Table Mountain. Like I mentioned before, Table Mountain is responsible for the birth of this beautiful city, it’s growth, and it’s climate. WHOA. It is at the King’s Table, being intimate with our Father, that unveils our deepest hearts desires and it is from that place we rule and reign as His sons.

Lion Head
Also, overlooking this amazing city at 669 meters (2,195 ft) is a mountain with the face of a Lion!!! The people of South Africa call it Lion Head. Sitting on the back porch listening to the lions moan and play, our host begins to to tell us of his close encounter with a lion’s roar. He said it was a blood curdling sound that turned his blood to water! Come on that’s power and authority. I have done much study on the Lion and they say when he roars it can be heard up to five to six miles. It is a territorial sound that boldly proclaims , ‘I am the King of the Jungle’. It releases a fear that stops it’s enemies in their tracks and establishes his kingdom. Never has that been more real to me than now. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! Ps 89:14-15 I have written on this scripture before…the word joyful sound translates war cry! Everyone has a sound (song). There was the Song of Moses, the Song of Miriam, the Song of Deborah, the Song of Mary etc… “Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound.” When we tap into our sound it releases a war cry that releases righteousness, justice, mercy, and truth! SHOA! In the book of Job it tells us, “Who can understand the spreading of the clouds or the noise of His tabernacle.” Job 36:29 There is a noise, a sound, a roar in His tabernacle. Col 1:27 tells us that it is, “Christ in you the hope of Glory.” Hope mean earnest expectation and Glory means manifest Presence. So we could read this as “It’s Christ the anointed one in us the earnest expectation of manifest presence in the earth!” Christ is the Lion of Judah! The Lion is in us. One of the ingredients for the Altar of Incense is onycha (Ex 30:34) . Onycha is a shell that a fragrance when it’s broken open. Amazingly, it doesn’t break open with force but rather with the release of a sound! SHOA! And the word ‘sound’ literally translates “the roar of a Lion” If we want to see our cities, regions, nations, & cultures crack open and release their fragrance we have to begin to release the territorial war cry of the Lion! Christ in us the hope of Glory! We have to stand as sons of God to call forth our Father’s Kingdom!

The Sons
The very mountains themselves are prophesying intimacy and sound! Deep calls out to deep in the roar of His waters” Psalms 24:7 The roar is found in His Presence. The Sound is found in intimacy. The Sons release the sound. Rom 8:19 Creation is groaning for the sons of God to be revealed. This is manifested in many ways but one sure way is the for the worshipers to release their sound. “the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.” Isa 29:6 It may be a singer singing but it will be a visitation, it may be a drummer drumming but it’s a visitation, a guitar solo but a visitation, it may be loud and boisterous but it’s a visitation! It’s the ROAR that comes from fiery lovers! Night after night we have not been able to end our services here in South Africa. The hunger is so intense, raw, and pure. The sound so strong! Get ready South Africa for a Sound birthed out of intimacy that will release the Presence of God and proclaim His Kingdom in such a dimension that’s never been known. I join with those who have gone before us and I prophesy to even a greater degree the sound that’s to be released from South Africa! The deeper the intimacy the Greater the ROAR! Even as South Africa is rebuilding there cities to host the nations for the World Cup our team believes the Lord is rebuilding and restructuring His people to Host His Presence and release a sound over the World! That even as people are traveling from all the nations to gather at the soccer stadiums these stadiums will be filled with people for a gathering of God’s people. Even as the Onycha breaks and release a fragrance at the Roar of the Lion so will the Nations break open at the Sound of South Africa!

A Garden, A Bush, An Awakening

Rev 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!”
Everywhere I turn in recent days there is a clear sound being released…that is the Sound of Awakening! I am truly overwhelmed as I sit to write this, my heart burning, and my ears overtaken by the Sound of the Spirit and the Bride crying out, “Come!”

True worship is a response to the Father. We can’t get so lost in the Presence of the Father that we don’t begin to tap into His heart for His Kingdom. The sound of awakening is the sound of the garden in Gen 3:8 when God came in the cool of the day and cried, “Adam where are you?” It’s the sound of Noah in Heb 11:7 as he responded to the Voice of God…built an Ark…and “warned of things not yet seen.” It’s the sound of a burning bush in Exodus 3 telling Moses to command Pharaoh, “let my people go!” It’s the sound of dry bones in Ezekiel 37 rattling, making noise, coming together to form an army! It’s the sound of the Old Testament Prophets leading up to John the Baptist…a voice…a sound in the wilderness in Matt 3: 1-12 saying, “make straight the way of the Lord!” It’s the sound of John 1 “when the Word became flesh”…the sound of angels proclaiming in Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the Highest”. It’s the sound that goes out at midnight in Matt 25 that awakens the 10 virgins!!!! It’s the sound that awakens hearts and releases the Fear of the Lord! It’s the sound released to call forth a generation to turn from lesser lovers and burn for the ultimate lover of our Souls. JESUS! It leaves the hearer with a choice…life or death…blessing or cursing… I pray that we all begin to understand the importance of the hour in which we are living.

In Isaiah 6 we find angels called Seraphim. Seraphim means Burning One’s. These burning creatures spend eternity around the throne crying out, “Holy is the Lord the whole earth is filled with the Glory!”. First they worship and then they prophesy over the earth and at the sound of their voices the heavens shake. That shaking, friends, is the Sound of Awakening! What a stunning picture. Angels that burn as they live their lives gazing upon a Burning God (Deut 4:24). They spend their lives in worship before the throne, hearing a Voice and becoming a voice of awakening, “the whole earth is filled with Your Glory!!!!” A life spent in unadulterated worship equals a heart that is awakened to the mysteries of the Heart of the Father. The Sound of Awakening is the Spirit of God releasing His Voice over a generation to come forth! Awaken!!! It’s a call to live in obedience and respond with hearts that say, “Yes!”

Our heart as a ministry in this season is to call forth a generation of lovers to live a life of purity…To call a generation to hear a Voice and become a voice…and at the sound of their voices the foundations of this earth will shake and awaken hearts to the love of God! There is a Godbreed Rising! A breed of worshipers this earth has never seen. These worshipers will happily give their lives for the sake of the Gospel because they are fascinated! We are in the most amazing time in the history of mankind. This generation is wired to live for something bigger than them. They are ready and waiting to give their lives for a cause. This is the most passionate generation to ever walk the face of the earth. When they awaken to the raw love of God they will live their lives from the place of intimacy…not the hand of the Lord but the Face of God and they will shake the earth!

We are asking you to pray and consider partnering with us as we continue this journey. We know more than ever our mandate to this generation!!! Our hearts are burning to see a generation awaken to the Love of God and in turn shake their regions with the Glory of God. We have been seeing this in some degree already as we have toured up and down the east coast and even to the west coast this year as well as the UK, South Africa, Brazil. Our CD’s have literally made it all over the world. Our hearts are longing to be a father to the fatherless, a husband to the widow, eyes to the blind, feet to the lame, and to go to the darkest ends of the earth with the Sound of Awakening that reveals the Heart of God! Next week we leave for Brazil. I have strategic instructions as we go to call forth a Godbreed to arise and be a voice of Awakening! We literally will fly from one end of Brazil to the other- hearing a Voice and being a voice! Please pray about helping with this mandate. You can give a onetime offering or partner with us on a continuous basis. If you already partner with us would you consider telling others about us and commit to helping us increase our partnership giving? We are in a season that is ripe for Awakening. We want to be able to go where He tells us to go, from the smallest to the largest meetings. Your generous offerings allow us to do this. If you would desire to do this you can go to and click the donate button for a tax deductible offering.

We pray for you all constantly. This next season, we will be fasting and praying for our partners and their prayer requests specifically on Thursdays. We love to agree with you in prayer. Also, we are beginning an intercession team for our ministry specifically to pray for the ministry, our partners, prayer requests, direction for the ministry, and cover our meetings and travel as we are on the road. If you would like to join this team please send us an email. We would love to hear from you.

A Revolutionary, A Reformer, A Godbreed

“O altar, altar! Thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priest of the high places who burn incense on you and men’s bones shall be burned on you.'” 1 Kings 13:2-3 NKJV

1 Kings13:2-3 is an astounding piece of scripture. An unnamed prophet by the Word of the Lord stands face to face with a pagan king and prophesies against his altar of idolatry! King Jeroboam had created altars of convenience to protect his kingdom and caused the nation to fall into sin. The unnamed prophet goes on to say that as a sign, the altar will be split and the ashes will be poured out!Just when the king puts his hand out to arrest him, his own hand withered, he could not move it, the altar split, and the ashes poured out! The Sound of Awakening was released through this unnamed prophet and the Justice of Heaven was enthroned! WHOA! I am lying in my bed, eyes wide open at 3am, and I find myself meditating on this story. My heart is weeping, as I continuously hear these words over the church tonight, “burn the bones!!!!”

I have always been fascinated by the story of Josiah. We even named our son Josiah. Some three hundred years after the occurrence in 1 Kings 13:2-3, a young Josiah was crowned king at the age of eight years old. Although I know he was surrounded by leaders to help guide him, this was still a huge responsibility for a young boy to undertake. Yet in the eighth year of his reign, which would make him sixteen, he began to seek the God of his father, David. (2 Chronicles34:3) Generations prior to Josiah did evil in the sight of the Lord. His grandfather Manasseh built high places, altars for Baal, and built altars in the House of the Lord for the all the host of heaven. (2Chronicles 33:3) He seduced Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations prior. (2 Chronicles 33:9) His father Amon did evil in the sight of the Lord by sacrificing to carved images his father had made, and the Bible tells us that he trespassed more and more.(2 Chronicles 33:18) What a horrible state for Josiah to step into his reign, and yet he was a seeker of God. In the midst of a spiritual state of horrific proportions, God brought forth a new generation to set things in order. A Reformer! A Revolutionary! A Godbreed!

I think if we were to be honest, the spiritual state of our nation, and the nations of the world, are no different today. I’ve heard it said, “What one generation tolerates the next embraces!” That rings true today. The world worships at the altars of convenience entitled humanism, abortion, pornography, self indulgence, etc… Many of our churches, not all…but many have erected altars to the idol of consumerism with the intention of building their own kingdoms, which look nothing like the Kingdom of God. Therefore rather than creating the standard in culture, the church has become        nothing more than a subculture. Friends, I believe in the church. I believe with all my heart that the church is the beautiful bride, but I believe the bride is a sleeping beauty. We need an Awakening! As I am writing this, I know there is always a remnant! Looking back at the story of Josiah, out of the chaos the prior generation had left, comes forth a radical seeker of God! Then at only sixteen, he began to follow the God of his father, King David.

The unnamed prophet publicly challenged the altar built by Jeroboam. His word was accurate;God confirmed his word and split the altar. I am most certain that the story was passed down through the generations and many awaited the birth of Josiah. Once he was born one can only assume some teacher or spiritual leader told him you were born fora purpose! “Under the care of better guardians, who trained him in the principles and practice of piety; and so strongly had his young affections been enlisted on the side of true and undefiled religion, that he continued to adhere all his life, with undeviating perseverance, to the cause of God and righteousness.” (Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown Commentary) One can only imagine the thoughts that went through Josiah’s head, as he was constantly reminded of the words of that unnamed prophet. That identity gave him the boldness to stand against the injustices of the former generations. At the twelfth year of his reign, at just twenty years old,Josiah began to purge the nation of the monuments and altars his father had erected. He broke down the altars of Baal:the incense altars were cut down, he broke the wooden carved and molded images and made them into dust, he burned the bones of the pagan priest on their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem. (2 Chronicles 314:1-7) Josiah was burning with zeal for purity to be restored to the nation. He was drunk with a passion for the unadulterated presence of God! At the age of twenty-six, while they were building the temple, the Book of the Law was found and read to him. He responded by ripping off his clothes in repentance. This led to a more in depth campaign, even into the surrounding territories to remove any trace of idolatry and call the nation to serve the one true God.

Just as it had been prophesied three-hundred-sixty years prior in 2 Kings 23:15, we find Josiah took the altar and high place that Jeroboam had built at Bethel, the altar of convenience, he broke it down, crushed it to powder, and burned the wooden image. If that is not enough, he then dug up the graves surrounding that mountain and burned the bones on the altar! There is so much more to be said. But here is the word, “burn the bones!” I read this in astonishment. It wasn’t enough that the altars and those things which were seen were torn down and crushed. He was not content until he had dug up the graves and burned the bones, thus fulfilling the prophecy. Friends, there is so much here there is no time in a mere blog to cover it all. But I hear the Lord say, “burn the bones!” With the state of our nation and the nations of the world, I am so aware that we need an Awakening, and yet I know that it begins with me. And you know what? It begins with you.We all need to look at our own hearts and have a response like that of Josiah, whom I remind you had already begun a nationwide reformation. He was already walking in his call and yet there was more! It was in the eighteenth year of his reign that the Book of the Law was read to him, and yet he ripped his kingly garments and went deeper! Just as his name in Hebrew means fire of God,he was burning with passion for God! The words of that bookmarked his heart, and he cleaned house!

God is releasing the Sound of Awakening to call forth a Godbreed of believers! These believers will be intoxicated with passion and driven by purpose! Just as Josiah restored true worship to the nation, this Godbreed will be a voice of reformation and will call the church back to her first love.Friends this is our generation! We are the Godbreed! Josiah was a seeker! The Godbreed are seekers! Seekers are finders! (Matt 7:7)Through his seeking Josiah heard a voice and became a voice to change the culture. He was possessed by God! We will hear the voice of God and release His Kingdom in the earth. Josiah was focused. The Bible tells us that he didn’t look to the left or to the right. This Godbreed will have the testimony of David, “One thing have I desired of the Lord…” (Psalm27:4) Josiah crushed the altars of convenience!!!! God did not call us to a life of convenience rather He called us to deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Him. (Mark 8:34) Let’s smash the altars!!! Josiah violently dug up the graves and burned the bones of the false prophets! How radical is that! As the Godbreed let’s, “burn the bones,” dig up the graves, and burn the remains of our old nature!!!! Let’s clean out our closets!!!! Purify the hidden places in our hearts….allow God to draw us deeper. Let’s have the testimony, “Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me!” (Psalm 51:10) Your bones may be bitterness, unforgiveness, hurts not healed, secret addiction. It may be a generational curse or a false identity this world has placed on you;only you know your story, but none the less, “burn the bones!” Tear down your altars of convenience, and burn the bones, any trace of sin. “Our God is a consuming Fire, a jealous God!” (Deut4:24) As we search our hearts and remains of sin are revealed, we can lay it on the altar, and He will consume it with FIRE! Let’s respond with gladness…Let’s have ayes in our spirit. If we want to see Awakening, let Him start in our own hearts. If we want to be a voice let us posture our hearts to hear Him! Let the Godbreed Arise and “burn the bones!”
